Privacy.
Short version: your screen time, your age and your pledge never leave your device. There is no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking on this site.
What stays on your device
- Your screen time and age. Typed into sliders, calculated in your browser, never sent anywhere. Refresh the page and they are gone.
- Your language choice and your pledge. Saved in your browser's local storage so the page remembers them on your next visit. They are readable only by this site, on this device, and never transmitted. Clearing your browser data removes them.
- Your share card. Drawn in your browser and saved directly to your device if you download it. No copy is uploaded.
What we collect
Nothing. There is no email list, no sign-up, no account and no contact form on this site. We do not know who you are, we cannot email you, and we hold no database in which you could appear.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies at all. Local storage is used for the two items above, which is a technical necessity for the feature to work rather than a tracking mechanism.
The coffee link
At the bottom of the page there is an optional link to Buy Me a Coffee. Clicking it takes you to buymeacoffee.com, a separate company with its own privacy policy and its own cookies. Nothing is shared with them unless you choose to go there and pay; if you never click, they never hear about you.
Hosting and logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web server, the hosting infrastructure processes standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the page and defend against attacks. We do not have an analytics dashboard, we do not build profiles, and we do not link that data to anything you do on the page.
Fonts
The page loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when the page opens. If you would rather that did not happen, a browser extension that blocks third-party requests will stop it and the page still works.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, export or delete any personal data we hold about you. In practice we hold none, so there is nothing to export and nothing to erase. If you believe otherwise, write to hello@getboredagain.com and we will look into it. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
This page is not directed at children under 13, and since it collects no personal data at all, none is knowingly collected from them either.
Changes
If this notice changes in any way that matters, the date below changes with it.
